Dock Configuration
Here Enterprise Browser's Dock gives users a single point of access to favorites, contents, bookmarks, notifications, and deep search. See Dock for user details.
The Dock Configuration panel provides you with a centralized content management tool while still allowing users to customize their individual Dock experience.
With the configuration panel, you can:
- Configure the default state of the Favorites folder and content directory for users or groups
- Organize content into unlimited nested subfolders within the content directory
- Add new content to Favorites without removing existing user customizations.
- Update URLs or names, which automatically reflect in users' Favorites
- Control what content users and groups can see based on admin-configured access rights
Group management
You can create different Dock configurations for different user groups. When users belong to multiple groups, folders with identical names automatically merge; duplicate content across groups is automatically removed for users who belong to multiple groups. If you remove content from one group but it exists in another group the user belongs to, the content remains visible.
Removal Management
If content is completely deleted from the Content Directory, it's automatically removed from users' favorites. Also, its icon no longer displays on Dock.
If folders are deleted from Dock Configuration, their subfolders are also removed. Content within deleted folders is also removed from the Content Menu, but not removed from the Content Directory. See Content to completely remove content.
