Manage for your company
For most of the tasks involved in managing a HERE platform for your company, you use the HERE Admin Console. This tool helps platform owners manage users, groups, content, permissions, and more within the HERE platform. The subtopics in this section describe the tasks you can perform using the console, whether you’re responsible for overseeing user access, managing organizational resources, or configuring platform settings. The Admin Console consists of several pages for managing different types of entities and categories of settings.
Starting with HERE 9, these pages are grouped into categories.
- Access
- Content
- Content stores: If your organization publishes HERE content, you can define content stores for external subscriber organizations; if your organizations subscribes to content stores from publishers, you can make their content available to your users.
- Content
- Apps: Add apps and configure access to, and protection of, apps within your platform. You can also control what apps are shared with AI Center.
- Supertabs: Configure access to collections of tabs.
- Collections: Manage collections and configure access to them.
- Agents: Configure agents that connect the HERE platform and third-party systems.
- Admin
- Admin security: Define the users who have access to the Admin Console, and their type of access. If you are an admin, the Admin Console is available from the browser menu. When you make changes in the Admin Console, data about those changes are logged for auditing purposes. See Changes logged for a detailed list of types of changes and related data that are logged.
- Logs: Download diagnostic logs for troubleshooting purposes.
Customize branding
A management task that is handled outside of the Admin Console is applying your company's logos and platform name to the HERE platform. Your platform name and logos must be set up for you by HERE staff. You must tell your HERE customer contact the platform name you want to use and provide logo image files to them. All images must have a transparent background for the areas of the image that are not part of the symbol or wordmark.
We need the following types of images to apply your branding:
-
Symbol Logo: A square (1:1) SVG version of your logo, to display within the user interface, including tab headers. Different versions for light and dark modes are supported, but not required.
-
Wordmark: SVG version that combines your symbol logo and company name, for use in contexts where more space is available. Different versions for light and dark modes are supported, but not required. If you do not provide a wordmark image, the symbol logo image is used in all cases.
-
Taskbar logo: A PNG format version of your symbol logo, to be used in the operating system's taskbar. HERE recommends an image of size:
- 512 by 512 pixels for Microsoft Windows
- 1024 by 1024 pixels for macOS
