Notifications in HERE Enterprise Browser

Web apps that are added by admins can send you notifications. These notifications can be typical notifications that you are probably familiar with from other web browsers. They might also be HERE notifications, which are unique to apps created for the HERE environment, with rich information and more interactions possible than with typical notifications. This page explains how to work with notifications you receive from web apps.

For details about creating notifications, see Add notifications.

On the desktop

You can receive and respond to HERE notifications on your desktop. They are distinct from the notifications you receive from the operating system. Among other differences, HERE notifications can be created to stay visible on the desktop until you interact with them.

In the browser

A red dot on the notification icon in the Dock indicates that you have unread notifications. Select the icon to go to the Notification Center.

Notification Center

You can view your notifications in the separate HERE Notification Center application. Depending on how the notifications are configured, you can sort by different attributes, set reminders, clear or dismiss notifications, and more. Notifications that you dismiss on the desktop continue to appear in the Notification Center application until you clear them.

Respond to notifications

Both web notifications and HERE notifications can provide simple information. HERE notifications can also request complex responses to calls to action. They can include extensive forms that let applications process the data that you provide in the form fields. They can use different banner colors to indicate different categories or priorities.

Some notifications let you set a reminder. This feature lets you be reminded of the notification at a more convenient time. The notification re-appears at the time that you select.
